On Wednesday, May 18, HVL Studio celebrated the launch of their newest venture–ListedKit.
ListedKit is a real estate collaboration tool created with agents in mind that equip professionals to manage the client experience from contract to closing. Real estate transactions can be complex—but with our task list and progress tracking feature, agents and clients alike have visibility into the real estate journey, every step of the way. Improve efficiency and transparency, reduce administrative tasks and increase customer satisfaction with a mobile-friendly suite of integrated real estate solutions. Our document storage and management tool helps agents easily organize, access and send important information. And custom workflows help to create a repeatable selling process–which allows agents to work smarter, not harder.
During the event, guest speaker Melvin Upchurch offered an overview of the real estate market and the Birmingham landscape. Melvin served as a valued consultant during the early stages of the product build, ensuring the platform supported agents in their daily tasks. To the question of how ListedKit could benefit real estate agents, he replied:
Risk is what keeps brokers awake at night. Did we get all of the essential papers, and did we take every precaution to protect ourselves and our clients? This application will allow agents to guarantee that everything is completed correctly. And reduce the risk that agents face.
Guests also had the pleasure of hearing from Katrina Langland, Product Designer at HVL, and Derrick Magnotta, CEO of ListedKit. They provided attendees with the backstory on how ListedKit came to be as well as insights into the company’s near-term vision and more long-term product roadmap. The event concluded with a live demo, product walkthrough and Q&A with the audience.
Where Does ListedKit Fit In the Real Estate Journey?
As soon as the client-agent relationship is established, ListedKit steps in to enroll the client and lead them through the entire closing process. The relationship, however, does not end there. After the closing, clients can check in to view a list of recommended vendors, such as fence installers, painters or inspectors. Clients can also retrieve documents issued throughout the transaction, print them, or access them in the app for use at any time.
Derrick Magnotta joined ListedKit as Co-founder and CEO in 2022. Prior to joining ListedKit, Derrick was the VP of Operations at an Alabama-based consumer reporting agency, where he led the modernization of the company’s technology solutions. Prior to that, he previously worked as a Project Manager for a leading provider in the drug screening industry.
Melvin Upchurch has been a realtor since 1998, having obtained a home builder’s license, built custom homes, flipped hundreds of homes, maintained a significant residential real estate rental portfolio for over 20 years, and helped hundreds of clients buy and sell properties. He’s originally from Mississippi but has lived in the Birmingham area for over 30 years.
Katrina Langland is a Product Designer at HVL and has been the lead designer for ListedKit. Prior to her time at HVL, Katrina was a Design Coordinator for an Alabama-based Design and Marketing Group, where she provided UX and Web Design for small businesses.
